Cedar Vale ranked 235th in state for resident earnings in 2017

Cedar Vale ranked 235th among cities in Kansas by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau in August.

The median income of Cedar Vale residents was an inflation-adjusted $26,630 per year. Cedar Vale had 206 households in 2017, with a population of 563.

The city with the highest median resident income in the state was Mission Hills. Mission Hills's median income was $106,838 per year after adjusting for inflation – $80,208 more than Cedar Vale. It had 1,234 households in 2017 and a population of 3,578.

Dresden had the lowest annual resident income among cities in Kansas, with a median income of only $9,440 per year. That was $17,190 less than the median income in Cedar Vale at the time. Dresden had 33 households in 2017 and a population of 81.
