Cost of college went up for all students at Allen County Community College

Tuition and fees rose 6.3 percent for 2018-19 at Allen County Community College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Kansas students paid $3,808 to attend the two-year public institution this year – $224 more than the $3,584 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 86 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 263 students received grants or scholarships totaling $1 million and 90 students took out student loans totaling more than $384,651.

Including all undergraduates (2,540), 1,001 students used grants or scholarships totaling $3.3 million, and 313 students took out $1.3 million in federal student loans.
