41

The Pittsburg State University track & field program is starting a Tuesday Night at the Track event beginning July 19 at Carnie Smith Stadium.

The goal of the weekly event is to get the Pittsburg community more engaged in the sport, while providing family fun activities through track & field.

Check-in starts at 6 p.m. with competitors, both young and old, being able to compete in the 60 meters (ages 6 & under), 100 meters, 400 meters, 800 meters, 4x100m Relay, 4x400m Relay, long jump and softball toss between 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Cost is $5 per person or $10 for the family. Individuals may come late each night, but they may miss a specific event if they do not arrive prior to the 6:30 p.m. start time.

In case of inclement weather, the TNT event will move indoors to the Robert W. Plaster Center. (Stay tuned to Pitt State Athletics social media channels for updates the day of the event.)

T.N.T. will run every Tuesday night from July 19 to August 23. The final session on Aug. 23 will feature a Meet & Greet with the Pitt State cross country and track & field team.
