With an opportunity for high school students to display their abilities in front of invited scouts and college coaches, the Cowley College Baseball Showcase will be held Sunday, October 16, at the Tiger Baseball Field in Arkansas City.
The showcase will include a professional style format. The athletes will run a timed 60, work on outfield and infield defensive situations, catcher pop times, pitcher bullpens, and conduct batting practice.
As a bonus to the athletes, if the number of participants allows, participants will be invited to play in a controlled scrimmage at the conclusion of the showcase. The athletes will have the opportunity to further showcase their abilities in a live game setting.
As an additional bonus, all showcase attendees will receive their own evaluation put together by the showcase staff examining the player's current level of play. This information will be emailed.
Check-in is at 10 a.m., and the showcase will begin at 10:30 a.m.
