Women's Soccer Concludes Season

Neosho women's soccer ended the season with a performance full of grit and determination against Coffeyville. The Panther ladies wanted to end the season with a performance to be proud of and although the result didn't go in their favor, the players really gave 100%. The coaches were glad to see the togetherness and fighting spirit on the pitch.

With the scores even at half time, Neosho gave themselves a good chance to go and get something from the game and took the lead midway through the second half when Myriam Zamora put a lovely corner in the box and Marisa Monturi attacked the ball brilliantly to head the ball into the back of the net. Coffeyville equalized late to send the game into extra time and went on to score a golden goal in extra time to win the game.

Following the contest Coach Elliot Chadderton  said of the match and the season, "It was not the result we wanted to end the season on but it was a really pleasing performance, the women's team gave 100% all season and can all keep their heads held high."
