3.6% of Bourbon County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Bourbon County recorded an unemployment rate of 3.6% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 235 people out of the 14,410 living in Bourbon County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Bourbon County has increased compared to the 3.5% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Bourbon County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 4%.

Of the 6,370 people who had a job during that time, 5 were employed in the Armed Forces and 6,365 belonged to the civilian labor force.
