Cherokee County recorded an unemployment rate of 1.4% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 123 people out of the 19,507 living in Cherokee County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Cherokee County has decreased compared to the 2.3% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Cherokee County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 4%.

Everyone who had a job at the time belonged to the civilian labor force.
