2021 has 2.3% of Greenwood County residents unemployed

Greenwood County recorded an unemployment rate of 2.3% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 69 people out of the 6,049 living in Greenwood County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Greenwood County has remained fairly stable compared to the 2.3% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Greenwood County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 4%.

Of the 2,886 people who had a job during that time, 11 were employed in the Armed Forces and 2,875 belonged to the civilian labor force.
