U.S. Representative Jake LaTurner (KS-02) has voted in favor of three key appropriations acts for Fiscal Year 2025, focusing on state, foreign operations, homeland security, and defense. The bills are part of the annual appropriations process reviewed by the House Appropriations Committee and subsequently voted on by Congress.

“Our country is less safe than it was three years ago thanks to President Biden's failed leadership," said Rep. LaTurner. "Under his watch, our country is being overrun by illegal immigrants who have not been properly vetted, illicit fentanyl is pouring into our communities, and our adversaries have been emboldened in their assaults on democracy and freedom across the globe. I'm proud to support these appropriations bills which responsibly prioritize the safety of Americans, support America's allies, and protect American interests on the world stage."

The Fiscal Year 2025 State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Appropriations Act (FY25 SFOPS) passed on the House Floor with a vote of 212-200. The Fiscal Year 2025 Homeland Security Appropriations Act (FY25 HS) passed with a vote of 212-203. The Fiscal Year 2025 Defense Appropriations Act (FY25 Defense) saw passage with a vote of 217-198.

These bills are among twelve appropriations measures that Congress reviews annually. To date, four out of twelve Fiscal Year 2025 appropriations bills have cleared the House and will now move to the Senate for further consideration.
