U.S. Representative Jake LaTurner (KS-02) voted in favor of the Fiscal Year 2025 State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Appropriations Act (FY25 SFOPS), which passed out of the House Appropriations Committee by a vote of 31-26, and the Fiscal Year 2025 Homeland Security Appropriations Act (FY25 HS), which passed out of the committee by a vote of 33-26.

“America is the world leader of freedom and prosperity, and these bills will help ensure that it remains so," said Rep. LaTurner. "Under the Biden Administration, Americans have watched their taxpayer dollars go towards funding partisan wish lists that don't reflect their values and weaken our nation's national security. I'm proud to join my colleagues on the House Appropriations Committee in advancing legislation that responsibly prioritizes the safety of Americans, supports America's allies, and protects American interests on the world stage."

FY25 SFOPS and FY25 HS are part of twelve appropriations bills reviewed each year by the House Appropriations Committee and voted on by Congress.

On May 23, Rep. LaTurner helped advance the Fiscal Year 2025 Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Act (FY25 MilConVA) out of the House Appropriations Committee by a vote of 34-25. On June 5, Rep. LaTurner voted yes on FY25 MilConVA on the House Floor. The legislation passed by a vote of 209-197.

FY25 SFOPS and FY25 HS will now be sent to the House Floor for consideration.
