The new Paola VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) has officially opened its doors, promising improved access and expanded services for veterans in southeast Kansas. The facility is significantly larger than its predecessor, allowing it to accommodate more veterans with a range of services including primary and mental health care, physical therapy, labs, and other specialty services.

During the opening event on Thursday, a speaker expressed optimism about the impact this facility will have on veteran care in Kansas. "I look forward to seeing how this facility will provide better care for Kansas veterans," they stated.

Gratitude was extended to the employees and healthcare workers in Paola and the Eastern Kansas VA healthcare system for their commitment to delivering high-quality care. "Thank you to all of the employees and health care workers here in Paola along with the staff in the Eastern Kansas VA healthcare system for their dedication to providing the best care and outcomes for all veterans who come through their doors," said the speaker. They added, "I am grateful for your work to serve veterans and appreciate all that you do."
